Sheriff interviewed on CNN

Early this morning I was at the roundhouse taping an interview for CNN. The subject was the Kid Nation Reality Show and its continuing criticism from parents and others. The criticism is bieng covered by everyone from People Magazine to the New York Times and L.A. Times and now CNN. The show is to air at 6 pm New Mexico time on CNN's show "Out in the Open" .

Gosh, I'm only catching up now. Who interviewed you? Rick Sanchez does good work on that show.

Jack Cafferty came out with his first book, "It's Getting Ugly Out There". It's a smooth read and and you'll notice a viewer's comment from Santa Fe on page 202.

I've been to Dean Martin's house with his daughter Deana when we used to pal around together in LA.

I was interviewed by Brooke Anderson over a taped feed from the State Capitol Media Room. Rick Sanchez hosted the show and conducted the live interviews.

Dean Martin's house must have been a cool place to visit! The only celebrity house I have been to is Graceland. Although I have met many celebrity's in Santa Fe. It is one of the perks of being Sheriff in Santa Fe.

I'm always on the look-out for those local celebs and have met quite a few. The actor who played the Commander in 'Blackhawk Down' approached me on Cerrillos Blvd at Walgreens and he gave me some good advice about being persistant. But I'd like to meet local celebs that have lived here for years and don't really leave this town. I'm sure I'll be successful. I will say I've met some mighty fine down to earth folks here in Santa Fe in the last ten years.
